Well as far as we could... which was about 6 miles past Ragged Point. Where there was no longer a road
After that we needed a treat
Well as far as we could... which was about 6 miles past Ragged Point. Where there was no longer a road
After that we needed a treat
Themselves decided to give Six Flags and Knottsberry a miss this trip but Oskar wanted a white knuckle experience so
But it didn't end well
For some reason Oskar has been very arty this trip with photos of sunset, sea and sand so I have had to tell him to post more of us so here you are
Today her and herself headed for Pismo and decided to stop at the Madonna Inn for coffee and cake.. we opted to stay in the car as that inn is a really crazy place, Oskar still remembers the pink sugar, the pink booths and pink napkins.
In fact all he could remember was pink, pink and more pink - that was until her and herself reminded him of the cake when they got back to the car
Having been in California for a few days now Oskar was hoping to top up his tan, however themselves seem to have left the sunshine in Oregon
Luckily as we travel further south we seem to have more luck with the sun - starting with 91 degrees in San Francisco
Sadly there was a downturn as we got to Pacifica and Monterey
Sunnier in Pacific Grove at 64 degrees
And a nice 68 as we travelled down the PCH as far as the Big Sur ...
Which is just as well as themselves are a bit keen - anyone would think a sunset is a rare occurance
It had to happen too many hours in a car with themselves, too many stops for photos and shopping... is enough to drive the strongest puppet to drink. And Oskar is not that strong....
Well today we left hotel number five heading to San Francisco .. a slightly shorter drive at 182 miles which seemed to take twice as long
might have something to do with the roads which wind so much it takes an hour to do three miles
As we were heading further south Oskar was looking forward to sandy beaches, blues skies, surfers and sunshine ... instead we got
Yesterday her and herself took us on a epic drive all the way from Gold Beach OR to Little River CA - about 280 miles that took a very, very long time... they took the 101 which sadly had a lot of bits witth 35 mile per hour speed limits. Add the stops for breakfast, taking of pictures and popping into the woods to drive thru a tree ....
And then there were the road works
And the traffic
We thought we would miss the last check in which was midnight
Well her and herself wanted to explore the Rogue river so Oskar recommended a sedate boat ride..
A decision that Oskar came to regret when they decided we should join them ...
Well today her and herself took a long time to drive 172 miles - it might have something to do with the roads!
or it could be something to do with the one hundred or so stops along the way to take in the scenery
Just for a change her and herself decided to take a scenic route to breakfast. We wouldn't mind but do they ever ask a puppet what they would like to do... just because we travel for free, don't pay for any hotels or any gas
That said it was a scenic drive and we headed into the woods to find bears ...
No bears but we did find bigfoot
As you may know Oskar and I are very refined, we like the finer things in life and not much can beat sitting on your balcony watching the sun set over the ocean....
Except maybe a selfie ...
And again Oskar wants to know why we ever agree to come with themselves given the way they treat us
Surely there must be a law to prevent this happening to us poor puppets
Sorry for the lack of posts ... we have been too busy making new friends
And he is a keeper .. he seemed as confused by her and herself as we are
and totally shocked at how quickly they can wreck a room
