Boys Get Separated

Although we are home now we needed to post how cruel our travelling arrangements have got of late 

Not only are we forced to travel without seats, we are now being separated and stuffed in the hand luggage - does anyone have a number for the prevention of cruelty to hand puppets...

That said it might be a better option than the suitcases we feel sure there was no room for one one more t shirt let alone a slightly heavier puppet than the one that left the U.K.

Boys Can't Find a Stamp

We did our very own postcard at the neon museum, and got very excited by who we were going to send it to, until,we realised we could not find a post office - what is it with new technology does no one write a letter any more?

Boys Do a Boneyard

Her and herself took us to the Neon museum and boneyard on Tuesday it was not quite what we expected as there were no bones that we could see!! A great tour though and some of the signage is amazing - it makes a puppet feel quite small especially this one from treasure island 

 

 

 

 

Boys and Stars

We met a few famous people over the last couple days and here are the photos to prove it

No idea who they are but the seemed very nice

As for Shelton he went all arty on us and went retro with the black and white - not sure it works for Oscar and I 
 

Boys Post Death Valley Shots

After one day of self parking themselves have taken pity on our short little furry legs and have decided to valet park - so much nicer you pay a man two dollars and he brings you a car 

Anyway as themselves have the car now they were able to get the camera so here are some pictures of us playing in the rather hot Death Valley on Monday - please consider how hot it was for us as we have fur coats all year round

Boys Return to Vegas

Being back in Vegas is a real shock to a puppet's system as its busy, noisy and loud!! We are loving it as we are real party animals!! 

We headed up the Eiffel Tower watched the fountains from the top, took a few pictures - just for a change 

Sadly it took its toll 

 

 
 

 

Boys Hit an All Time Low

Having scaled new heights this holiday we then plundered new depths going to 282 feet below sea level 

Tune in tomorrow for picture of us ... They would be here but herself left her camera in the car which is at least an hours walk away from our room - well it is the way they navigate through the MGM

Boys Do Another Epic Drive

Her and herself headed out of Ridgecrest and headed to Death Valley, although we have been before we were a little afraid, no not the death bit but the fact that herself was going to drive!!! It was true luckily the roads were quite and in places the speed limit was 25 MPH even herself could do much wrong under those conditions

Still we were please when themselves swapped back to their usual roles So we did not have to stay on the roof

We popped out to make the most of the scenery here we are with the Panamint Dunes - unlike some mad people we opted for the zoom function on the camera unlike some people (not themselves) who walked out to the dunes and them up them are they bonkers!!!

 

 

 

 

 

Boys Cross California

Today her and herself drove from Pismo to Ridgecrest ready to drive into Death Valley as usual they managed to find a shopping mall - a new one that only opened in August - it wa so new it threw Lauire Tom Tom into a tizzy as the road herself was on didn't exist!!!

After a couple of hours shopping we were a bit fed up and Olaf got a little ratty with me 

Eventually we made it to the best western in Ridgecrest hotel nine - no photos after all you seen one BW you have seen them all  
 

Boys Take In a Movie

We love California not only are there clam festivals, amazing sunsets, great surf there are drive in movie theatres and we persuaded her and herself to take us to the one in San luis Opisbo 

We arrived early to get a good spot and settled down to watch the movie - would highly recommend if you are passing 

You bring your own snacks but you can buy goodies there during the intermission if you fancy something else 

That said not sure where the lobby was 

 

 

Boys Watch a Sunset

Olaf was still feeling concerned about being mistaken for a dog so we opted to eat in rather than risk seeing them there beach police - we dispatched her and herself to the local chippy for fish and chips as we settled ourselves on the balcony to watch the sunset 

The fish and chips were almost as good as the view 

Boys Don't Do Clams

It seems everywhere in Pismo is busy as the weekend it is the Pismo Clam Festival - including a parade that due to her and herself's tardiness we missed!! But we did get to see the Pismo beach police - sadly olaf was a bit taken aback when they seemed to want us to join their K-9 unit 

Herself kindly explained we were puppets not dogs... to help us get over the shock herself offered to take us for coffee and cake as the whole point of coming to California was to eat cake at the madonna inn - who could say no to that 

 

 
 

Boys Back at Pismo

 ... We had a weird sense of déjà vu as we arrived at hotel eight and the man at reception seemed to know us - could it be he is a secret puppet blog follower??? 

Anyway we are back at the Kon Tiki Inn at Pismo right by the beach, listening to the waves crashing outside and watching sunsets over the ocean 

These images may seem familiar but themselves are rather predictable 

 

 

 

Boys Do Rte 154

Her and herself decided to relax by the Pacific Coast for a couple of days so with herself directing they tried to find the PCH out of Santa Barbara so they could take a spin along the coast, sadly this proved impossible as there is no coastal road out of SB!! Somehow themselves managed to find a scenic route along Rte 154 - no sea but lots of elevated twists and turns

 

 

 

Boys Do the Beach ...

If you are ever on the California coast stop,here for lunch, don't be put off by the parking cost - $40 if you have lunch it's only six and the food is amazing and the views are not bad either - Olaf took this after lunch picture and have to say themselves are seriously slacking 

 
 
 

 

Boys Do Santa Barbara

Only the hotel to show for now, as it was dark by the time her and herself checked us in, so here's the room 

For the record this is hotel number seven!! Where we had pizza and cake as themselves found another Sprinkles and no we were not in LA or Vegas so no wonder we puppets have no idea where we are ...

 

 

 

Boys Do Lunch

After the recent epic drives we were shocked when her and herself said we were only going from Westlake Village to Santa Barbara... we were less shocked when it took themselves 12 hours to get there 

That said we did stop along the way for lunch in Paradise Cove. Malibu.  We had lunch, made a wish (less hours in a car) and walked on the beach

 

 

 

Boys Do Roy's ..

Her and herself were doing an epic drive from Flagstaff to Westlake Village in California but even a detour to London Bridge did not stop them taking another detour to visit Amboy - yes it as third time lucky and they made it this time.  Now Mount Baldy goes on the to do list ...

We tried to check in but ....

While themselves were taking pictures of the road we tried to take the car for a spin - sadly even with an automatic we couldn't do it - it might have worked if olaf was willing to put his foot to the pedal but he said he wanted to see where he was going and hogged the wheel ...
 

 

Boys Head to California but ...

... it seems that her and herself can get lost anywhere even in Arizona where the roads are straight and the spaces are wide and open.  Somehow they found London Bridge .... HOW!!!

 
 

Boys Head for Flagstaff

After more National Parks and canyons than you can shake a stick at her and herslh decide to go shopping, so headed to Flagstaff Mall and Market Place even though it only had half a dozen shops themselves were gone a long time.  We puppets took the sit, relax and chill option and stayed in our  hotel out of the sun and shops ...
