Wolf wrestling

Worried that our friends would think us cowards for fleeing from the Polar bear & her cub, we headed towards the wolves. This wolf decided that we looked like a tasty snack, so Olaf & I showed him that we were not to be messed with and won the fight! He fled with his tail between his legs!

Themselves warned us there were bears in them there woods

But as usual we had to find out for ourselves - the hard way. We didn't hang around too long as there was a distinct lack of seals and the polar bears looked hungry!

A trip to the zoo seemed like a good idea

We initially took a walk down to theWazemmes market but it was very crowded and we couldn't see for a sea of legs. So we jumped on the number C1 bus and headed for the zoo. At first the inhabitants seemed friendly enough.....

A strong drink to start the day

After themselves made yesterday very hard work, we decide that we needed the strongest start to the day possible. In Lille this means coffee! We spent some time over this, deciding what to do today before heading home on Eurostar.

An adverse reaction

Themselves were so upset at being voted off Coach Trip that they became shadows of their former selves! Talk about being over-sensitive!!!

Coach Trip

After the last establishment themselves thought that they would accompany us on a tour of Lille. As you can see, we are happily enjoying this - unlike themselves who were very quickly voted off.

Where have the walls gone......

not to mention the roof and windows. Which does not explain why it was necessary to brick the door up!!!! Mind you, it may explain why there are homeless people in Lille. They probably weren't when the went to bed the night before.

We're a Lille way from San Fransisco now

and tucked up in bed at 8 o'clock... not only Lille way from California but we are on foot too!!

Needless to say themselves are as good at map reading on foot as they are in a car. Walked 8,000 steps to find ourselves 100 yards from our hotel! We tried to tell themselves that we had a map but would they listen???

Loads of lovely restaurants sadly not the one themselves chose - lamb was so fresh it was still gamboling around the plate and the mussles so shy they wouldn't open up. Themselves are now eating monster munch in bed. There'll be trouble ahead if we find crumbs......
